Bug Description
This feature request from old bug tracker.
I don't know if the features I'm requesting are in stellarium or not, I haven't found them but I've BARELY used the program. I'm an earth & space science teacher and would like to know if you can do the following. I've been using "skyglobe" but that program is no longer supported (as far as I know) and its getting pretty old.
A sidereal day option that would have the effect of "freezing" the stars in place on the monitor but would show the motions of the planets - this enables me to talk about retrograde motion of planets.
A way to go to sunrise or sunset from one day immediately to sunrise or sunset on the next day. This would enable me to demonstrate the change in sunrise/sunset positions throughout the year. I'd use it to deal with the seasons, equinoxes and solstices.
If these are present or if they can be added to future versions please email me as I probably will not be able to find the answer if you post it online.
Thanks,
