Bug Description

When I have windows (terminal, gedit, etc) adjacent to the right edge of the screen in the upper-right workspace, then I switch to Google Chrome in the upper-left workspace, then I click on the window's (gedit, terminal, etc) icon in the Unity launcher, it will move the right edge of the window about ~100px into the left edge of the current (upper-left) workspace.

To reproduce:
1) Init (see attached "init" image)
        a) Start Chrome in upper-left workspace (fullscreen)
        b) Start Gedit in upper-right workspace; drag to right edge such that the grid-snap causes it to fill exactly the right-half of the screen
2) Switch from upper-right to upper-left workspace
3) Click on the "gedit" icon
4) Observe shift (see "observe" images)

I am experiecing this - mainly with Chrome windows (could be a coincidence, beause that's what I almost always have open), but I can't reproduce it with your instructions. I am not sure how to reproduce it at all, but the result is same - window moves to the left-most workspace. In my case I have four horizontal workspaces, so the window(s) seems to move from the 4th one the 1st one, but am not 100% sure, since I can't consistently reproduce this. The window is similarly aligned, with only the left side visible on the workspace.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
