Bug Description

On two occasions, I have received a Runtime error message:

The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

On each occasion, I was attempting to read a dictionary (two different ones) that I had converted from Kindle using the DeDrm plugin. Other books were OK - perhaps it fails with big books such as Dictionaries. This happened on 13 January, after I updated to the latest version (possibly 0.9.15?).

I immediately deleted the files but testing with a large book may recreate the error.

COnverting large books, including dictionaries works for me. If you want
to convert very large books I suggest two things:

1) Run calibre ona computer with lots of RAM
2) Install the 64 bit version of calibre, so that it can use that RAM

 status invalid

Changed in calibre:
status: New → Invalid

I am not convinced by your response. I tried again - this time it did crash with a memory error but at the time Task Manager was repoirting only 53% use of physical memory. These were the details:

Rushing off to buy a new computer is not an option at the moment.
