Bug Description
This concerns libexo-1-0 0.8.0-1 in Ubuntu Quantal.
I have xubuntu-desktop, firefox and chromium-browser installed. Yet when I invoke "Web Browser" from the top-level application menu, I get a "Choose Preferred Application" dialog that lists the following options:
Debian Sensible Browser
Iceweasel
Lynx Text Browser
Firefox
Other ...
It is a bug for Chromium not to be on this list. (It's also, arguably, a bug for Iceweasel to be there, given that it is not even installed.)
This may possibly be related to bug 794720.

I noticed that .desktop files for various common applications get installed into /usr/share/ xfce4/helpers, but Chromium / Google Chrome is not on that list, which means users have to add it manually.
Please consider adding .desktop files for Chromium (which Linux distros ship) and also Google Chrome (distributed by Google).
The relevant commands would be:
chromium-browser for Chromium
google-chrome for Google Chrome
If you need more info or explanation I'd be very happy to provide it.
