Bug Description
The problem is that the 'drag window to resize' is a very nice feature, but also can be a source of frustration. On dual monitors, it's easy to spend time trying to get the resize controls just right.
I think that there is an approach to make this feature more usable AND provide even more functionality that would directly benefit users workflow efficiency.
(See mockup/attached images)
Instead of dragging the window by the bar to do something with it, a long click of the 'maximize' window would create an overlay
Right now we have
Close, Minimize, and Maximize
X - []
We are looking at options that would change the functionality of the "Maximize" button area / region of the screen after an extended click
Long click of maximize would produce:
[][][]
(][][)
[][][]
Corners would resize the screen to 25% of full screen and place it into the clicked corner.
Sides (not corners) would resize to 50% and place it into the size that was clicked
Center click would maximize to full screen

I think this is a great idea and should be considered! Nice mockup of your idea.
