libstlport5.1-dbg does not support debug mode

Binary package hint: libstlport5.1-dbg

This package has debug symbols but does not support stlport DEBUG mode ( http://www.stlport.org/doc/debug_mode.html ), when I try to compile with stlport using -D_STLP_DEBUG I get a lot of link errors. Usually I would link stlport in debug mode using -lstlportstlg but this package does not have that file. the only lib it has is /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/libstlport.so.5.1.0, and when I try to link with it it gives link errors.

without using debug mode, all works fine.

I can confirm this bug.

This is a serious issue. For lots of stlport-users the stlport-debug-mode is the main (and perhaps only) reason to use stlport.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04. Installed are all stlport 5.1 related packages:
ii libstlport5.1-dbg 5.1.4-1 STLport C++ class library debug symbols
ii libstlport5.1-dev 5.1.4-1 STLport C++ class library
ii libstlport5.1ldbl 5.1.4-1 STLport C++ class library

Can you try the appropriate deb for your arch at http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/pool/universe/s/stlport5.1/ ?
