Bug Description
System: Ubuntu 12.10 x64, gnome-shell 3.6.2, nautilus 3.6.3 compiled with --enable-
gnome-documents not installed
Steps to reproduce:
-Make sure gedit is not running (killall gedit), or login in to freshly started computer.
-open activities overview
-search for any plain text file and open it under the FILES heading
Expected behavior: file opens in gedit
Actual behavior: loading icon appears in top panel, but program never opens. ps aux | grep gedit shows that the process is there. Opening a file a second time from the Activities Overview works. Closing gedit and trying again results in same behaviour.
