Bug Description

Setting the computer to sleep mode a few minutes before typing-monitor is going to tell me "Take a break!". When the computer is suspended a few hours later typing monitor starts blocking the screen after a few minutes. It should recognize the break I already did. Worked fine in Edgy but not in Feisty any more.

I can confirm this. It has been reported upstream as well.

If I suspend my computer while typing-monitor is blocking the screen and I continue the computer later on, the screen is still blocked but typing-monitor is not displayed. So I need to change to a terminal by ctrl+alt+f1, login, and kill the specific process to get access to the gnome desktop again.

Lutz, I think that might be a different bug? I've never seen that problem.

I can confirm the original bug as far up as Intrepid. I use a work-around of opening the Typing Break preferences and turning off then back on. This resets the timer. However, Typing Break itself ought to keep a real-world timer check and reset based on real-world time as well. It's annoying to have the screen lock right after I come in in the morning.
