white areas when switching spinny QGlWidgets

Bug Description

This comes up when testing Bug #1065006 but might be a separate issue.

Qt tracks a similar Bug to this. I have added our case an a simple project which demonstrate the issue.

I have tried to debug it, but i have still no idea to fix it on Mixxx's side without big effort.

The white area happens because of a paint event like function inside Qt which paints the white areas somewhere before the resizeEvent occurs. The regular paintEvent follows afterwards.

This happens on OS X -- scrolling in the library causes seemingly random chunks of the spinnies to go white / grey.

Could this be related to how our spinnies cause intel i915 driver assertions.

I have not seen this since update to qt5.
I assume it is fixed.
