Bug Description

apport 2.6.1-0ubuntu9, compiz 1:0.9.8.6-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu 12.10

1. Experience a crash in compiz.

What happens: "The application Compiz has closed unexpectedly. ( Show Details ) ( Leave Closed ) ( Relaunch)"

What's wrong with this: Compiz is not an application, and people shouldn't have to know it by name.

What should happen: "Sorry, Ubuntu has experienced an internal error. ( Show Details ) ( Continue )"

This might be because the compiz package contains a .desktop file when it should not.

"Relaunch" is offered as a possible action when Compiz has already relaunched, but that is bug 993400, not this bug.

Apport customization is not part of the compiz package. But I don't know where it lives exactly.

no longer affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
