"New activity": Window does not have focus

Small but annoying problem with Ubuntu 12.10 and Unity:
When starting a new activity via hamster indicator, the hamster window does not have focus and opens *below* the active window. I.e., if the active window is maximized, I cannot see the hamster window at all, I have to select it from the launcher to bring it to front.
