Upgrade of Ubuntu results in sound no longer working

Bug Description

Sound was working. I did a full upgrade on muon. Now sound does not work - not the system bell, not chrome viewing pandora, not at all.

The driver/module for your Xonar isn't being loaded. What happens when you try to load it manually?:
sudo modprobe -v snd-oxygen snd-virtuoso

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
