Crashes after write configuration to device

After selecting generate new OTP and press write to device, the application says it is successful, but it then crashes, and I am unable to upload it.

Got from upstream a hint to use the ppa https://launchpad.net/~yubico/+archive/stable/ which seems to work better:

"from some very cursory testing this looks to me like it's a problem in the usb parts of libykpers, specifically the fix in Yubico/yubikey-personalization@816cefe".
