Cannot create new document in 12.10

Bug Description

I installed Gwoffice on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit

I can open up old documents but I cannot create new documents. When I click to create a new document nothing happens.

This is easily reproduced and effects linux mint also (which is based on ubuntu 12.10)
