Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.10

I am getting absolutely no sound at all from my Audigy 2 setup. I have performed the following actions:

- Unmuted all channels in alsamixer
- Disabled onboard audio
- Tried various packages
- Completely wiped and reinstalled Ubuntu
- Updated all software packages
- Verified via aplay -l that my soundcard is recognized (it is)
- Tried all of the port jacks on the back of the soundcard
- Downloaded liblo10k (emu10k patch)

Still, nothing. When I go to Sound Settings, I have a choice between the S/PDIF and two analog outputs on my Audigy. Selecting any one of the three and then testing produces no sound at all. Speakers verified to work fine with a Windows 7 OS on the same machine.

Did you try changing settings from alsamixer in terminal?
I selected audigy from the sound settings then whent into alsamixer and changed the tone to on and after that you have to change the audio level for pcm that your using and master.
I don't know where you can select your primary sound card but the sound settings switch from motherboard sound to audigy.

Sorry for my english :D

Thanks for your reply, ZEROtech. I did go to alsamixer, and enabled the "tone" (it was disabled before), but still no sound. I tried enabling and disabling various other options but still, no sound. Can I take a screenshot of something to help?

The sound card limit to 32 bits address space, you need to specify wavetable size if sound fonts larger than 32 MB

I think my problem is related to Kubuntu 15.10 64bit. I have installed Kubuntu 15.10 32bit in another partition and midi works very well.

The problem would appear to be a 64bit incompatibility somewhere.
