Bug Description

The configuration menu within the Thunderbird v17.0 plugin seems to be broken when connecting

tested on openerp 7.0 deb version 05.01.2013

I downloaded the plugin from the link provided in the OpenERP 7.0 settings menu

Installation of the plug-in worked fine

I entered required details in configuration menu:

1. server and port details protocol, XML-RPC
2. database name
3. user details

I pressed "connect" and nothing happens. Not even an error message or even a log from the openerp server. Tried this several times with the same result.

Regards

Colin

I tried the version from the https://code.launchpad.net/~openerp-dev/openobject-addons/trunk-bug-1097233-nco branch, and like Pinky&TheBrain, I got errors relating to PrivilegeManager.

The problem is that modern Firefox (and Thunderbird) versions no longer include PrivilegeManager <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Site_Compatibility_for_Firefox_17#Security>. I managed to create a working version of the plugin by just commenting out all of the lines that invoked the Privilege Manager.

I'm attaching a patch against lp:~openerp-dev/openobject-addons/trunk-bug-1097233-nco/plugin_thunderbird that lets me create a working Thunderbird plugin.
