Bug Description

In Ubuntu Software Center, in the Dash, and in the Launcher, a non-default application that hasn't been opened yet is shown exactly the same way as one that has been.

This makes finding newly-installed applications a bit more difficult.

In iOS 6, a non-default application you haven't opened yet has a blue "NEW" banner across the top corner.

USC does use a green checkmark emblem on all applications that are installed. So if we apply some sort of emblem to those that haven't been opened yet, probably it should extend or replace the checkmark emblem.
