Thanks for your report. Your backtrace is not complete, but I think that it is related to knewsticker. Please attach the file .kde/share/config/kickerrc to give us more information about your panel. Please explain what actions do you do before the problem happens. Thanks

Yes is is the KNewstiker.
I youse OpenSuse 10.2. On a second partition i have install kubuntu use the same partition for /home
Afterlogin the kicker krash traying to load the newsticker.
With OpenSuse 10.2 knewstiker works fine.

Thanks for additional information. If I'm not going wrong, Kubuntu 7.04 uses KDE 3.5.6 and Opensuse uses KDE 3.5.5. Is correct?

Please try to install kdebase-dbg and kdelibs-dbg. When the problem happens again, Apport should allow to report the bug with a better backtrace. Please post here the number of new report. Thanks for your collaboration.

The creash is happen if i update the news. Sometimes at startup sometimes later.

This isn't an issue in Kubuntu Intrepid (8.10) since Kicker is no more. (replaced by Plasma)
