Files in column view sometimes doesn't highlight

Bug Description
When exploring folders with Files in column view, sometimes when I select a folder on the left, the folder doesn't highlight. But the content does appear.
The bug doesn't appear everytime. But it seems that it happens when I select a folder in my home besides the usual folders "Music", "Image"...

I can confirm this and found a sequence that would trigger this behaviour.
In Column View
go to /etc/ in the first column
then /etc/acpi/ on the second onew
then /etc/acpi/events/ on the third one
then click /mnt/ in the first column
