Bug Description

The Launcher is displayed correctly, but after login it only shows a black screen.

Works fine on my laptop with Geforce GT 330m , and also works on this system (Intel Core i3, 4gb ram, AMD HD6870) with xfce-window manager.
The gpu driver is Catalyst 12.11 beta11 (Catalyst 12.10 prdocues the same result).

I tried this in both elementary OS and xubuntu with gala as wm.

It's the only program I launched via PlayOnLinux, so it may affect others.

(I don't use bzr)

Edit:
The issue only occurs in fullscreen-1920x1080 mode.
Any other resolution and windowed works fine.
The Issue also occurs in Team Fortress2 via native steam. (so probably in a few more 3d applications).

Does it only happen with gala? Did you check it with let's say xfwm or even mutter? (I personally play GW2 with gala on my nvidia desktop and optimus-nvidia lappy.)

Yes. It happens in gala.

I switched back to xfwm4 and everything works again.
I also figured out, that Team Fortress2 via native Steam has the same issue. Only gala, sadly.

I played around with it a litte more.

Windowed mode works. I can also set it to any resolution other than 1920x1080 (my monitor's native resolution).

It it seems only to happen with fullscreen-1920x1080.

This is a bug with the proprietary drivers. Your screenshots are probably black too. elementary OS does not support proprietary ATI drivers because support for pantheon/gnome-shell/mutter/gala is still in development by AMD.
