Bug Description

I have a Dell Studio laptop, Elementary up to date.

System settings -> Power -> Battery power:

here I have "When the power is critically low" set to "Hibernate".

But it's not working. The computer dies at some point when battery is low. In a second ... it's just powers off. It doesn't hibernate at all. I hope this is enough.

How do I find this dconf entry in dconf?

I guess it is not related with bug #1096322 because I have these options... they just do not work... :)

yep... it's set to hibernate...

I also reported Bug #1106039, maybe the problem is related.

I have verified that we are setting the configuration entries properly so this problem is outside the scope of this project. I'm not sure whose fault it is if it's still happening.

I have almost the same problem. But my option is not to hibernate but to shutdown. I noticed this issue on Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity, lubuntu, ubuntu mate on diverse computers. I customised with dconf on Unity, the critical level battery to 20% but it won't to shutdown at this critical level, computer works till the end of the battery!
