thank you for the bug report. To find the source of the problem a bit more information is needed.
Which upgrade method did you use, the network upgrade as described on this page http:// www.ubuntu. com/getubuntu/ upgrading ? dist-upgrade.
If it was the network upgrade it would help if you can provide the log files from the failed upgrade. These can be found in /var/log/
