Bug Description
I'm currently running a Hoary Hedgehog box upgraded a few weeks ago from Warty,
so I'm not sure if it's merely a post-update problem that I'm having.
Whenever I go to a website that uses the "courier" font (not "courier new"), the
font isn't rendered at all. No other font seems to have this problem.
Here's an HTML example I created viewed through Firefox:
http://
The lines are not normally rendered highlighted, that only occurs when I
highlight them normally, as I did when taking the screenshot to show that the
text is there, just not with the font being rendered.
I installed Konqueror and Mozilla just to make sure it wasn't a Firefox issue,
but the problem exists there as well.
I brought up Nautilis and the fonts:/// directory to see if I have the Courier font:
http://
Should that file be different than the others shown?
If I bring up the Font Preferences, and then try to select Courier from the
list, it's not rendered there either, unlike all the other fonts:
http://
Looks like you have a broken font named "Courier" installed. This font is not
included in a default install of Ubuntu, though. Perhaps you installed some
third-party fonts?
