Bug Description

Binary package hint: gksu

Distribution: Ubuntu 7.04
Codename: Feisty

In the Gnome menu, when selecting administrative tasks, a dialog requests the user to supply his password. If cancel is pressed, the "Starting Administrative Application" message is still displayed on the Window List for several seconds.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently.

I've tried this under Ubuntu 8.10, and the "starting administrative application" message disappears prompty when I hit cancel.

We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
