Bug Description

The Super+W animation is a bit sluggish with a LibreOffice window open. I think this is only noticeable with a less powerful graphics card (here: i5 480m integrated graphics).

Thanks for the bug report. Can you please mention the version of Ubuntu and Unity you are using.

I think I can feel a little slowness in expo when libreoffice window is opened. Though I am not sure what to blame here. It could possible be something to do with libreoffice global menu integration perhaps the CPU usage raises when libreoffice unregisters its menubar from the panel. I didn't feel the slowness while libreoffice was not in focus. Can you please test if that;s the case for you as well.

My Ubuntu version is 12.10 and I can verify that the animation is smooth with LibreOffice minimized. However I don't think it's the global menu integration because after "sudo apt-get remove indicator-appmenu" the slowness is still there.

I think the main problem is bug 1039942 so will treat this as a duplicate of that one until proven otherwise.
