PPTP unable to connect to Cisco 3000 VPN Concentrator

Bug Description

I've been trying to connect to a Cisco VPN Concentrator using PPTP (IPSEC is switched off on this particular beast so I cannot use vpnc) but the connection is always dropped immediately.

The logs on the Cisco show 'Invalid length control message' and then it turfs me off.

I believe the Windows VPN client suffered this same issue at one point and Microsoft released a patch for it...

I found nothing of use on Google and realise this isn't strictly an Ubuntu issue but Ubuntu is the distro I use and it's the one I'd like it to be fixed in :-)

This occurred on both Edgy and Feisty - but I'm not sure which package the fault would actually be in...
