Bug Description
I've seen this on an Athlon box (2000+, VIA K7 chipset), and a friend of mine
saw it too on her 4 years old compaq box.
With both these computers (and different live CDs I just got in the mail), there
doesn't seem to be a way to turn the computers off. Each time you log out, the
box shuts down, and then reboot ( on the cd you haven't been able to take out
before shutdown).
On the athlon box, I've able to stop the loop by turning the computer off at
reboot time. No such luck on the compaq whose splash screen makes it unclear
when (if) this can be done.
This out to be corrected if newbie are to not be turned off by the live CD. I'd
say by either a real shutdown, or by giving the option to the user to take out
the CD before the shutdown sequence is complete
correct, the problem is in the init itself. We should check this
if it works fine with the new design.
Cheers,
