Bug Description

Evergreen version 2.2.3

Looking at an Evergreen-generated RSS feed like this one:
https://evergreen.noblenet.org/opac/extras/feed/bookbag/rss2-full/2481

the title links go to the htmlholdings-full unapi display:

https://evergreen.noblenet.org/opac/extras/unapi?id=tag:open-ils.org,2012-12-12:biblio-record_entry/3006640/NOBLE&format=htmlholdings-full

Clicking on the Dynamic Details from here then brings you to the jspac record.

At a minimum, the links should be upgraded to tpac links before jspac is discontinued.

However, as an added bonus, it would be nice if the links from the RSS feed went directly to the tpac record instead of going to the intermediary unapi display.

Looks like that comes out of Open-ILS/src/perlmods/lib/OpenILS/WWW/SuperCat.pm. Around line 637 or so, it uses:

 print "Location: $root/../../$locale/skin/$skin/xml/rresult.xml?m=$id&l=$lib_id&d=$lib_depth\n\n"

Which seems to be part of the JSPAC references you're talking about. Since we've now removed JSPAC from 2.4 as part of bug 1152655, I'm recommending to elevate this bug to a higher status and going to try getting it solved before 2.4 is released.

On my development system, running master, the Dynamic Details link goes to TPAC. I assume it would also do this on 2.4, but don't have a 2.4 system to test on.

The system used in the above examples, NOBLE, is IIRC running 2.2.

I don't think this is a bug so much as a wishlist to have the RSS feed link go directly to TPAC.

NOBLE is running 2.2.8, but I also see the same behavior on the MVLC production server

I agree that wanting to have the title link go directly to the catalog is a wishlist item.

I'll file a separate bug report for the link going directly to the catalog, because I agree it is a different issue. The highest priority at the moment is to get the links to point to tpac.

Our test server is running 2.4, and I can confirm the Dynamic Details link goes correctly to the TPAC. Our production server is running 2.3.1, and the link still goes to JSPAC there.

I believe a commit just pushed for bug 1183972 fixes the issues in this bug report, too, so closing this one (if I'm way off, but I don't think I am, reopen).

Thanks.
