Bug Description

In Displays within Switchboard, disabling 'Sticky Edges' does not work. Whenever the option is toggled off, it looks as if it has changed, but if you go back into the setting it is set back to enabled.

Oh, no wonder it doesn't work in Pantheon then - it uses Gala instead of Compiz.

no longer affects: switchboard

So perhaps the proper fix would be showing the option only if XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP environment variable is "unity" or if Compiz is running, if the option is not specific to Unity.

it does, try running "XDG_CURRENT_DESTKOP= gnome-control-center display", that setting is not displayed

Sorry I did not state it earlier. This is Elementary OS running the Pantheon environment. Originally this ticket was assigned to Elementary OS, my appologies.

When i echo XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP in my terminal it returns Pantheon. Still the setting is displayed for me...

that's an elementary change then, under Ubuntu running "XDG_CURRENT_DESTKOP=Pantheon gnome-control-center display" returns 3 icons only and the display panel is not listed

The display panel has "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;Unity" in its .desktop file. Perhaps not showing the panel at all doesn't count as a bug.
