Bug Description

Binary package hint: apt

Dist-upgrading ubuntu is annoying for the reason that the process of unfolding-installing-configuring the 800+ packages (edgy -> feisty) lasts many hours, and the user must stay near the computer or the ssh terminal all the time of the process.

If you go away from the pc, according to Murphy's law in that same moment the process will stop waiting for your input.

I myself can't stay a lot of time near a pc waiting for the upgrade to finish. When I upgraded from hoary, from dapper y from edgy I lasted some day in order to end the process. Every time I came back to the pc thinking it had finished, I found a question waiting for my input, and the dist-upgrade process very far from finishing.

A way should be found in order to present all question to the user at the beginning of the dist-upgrade, in the same way it's done when installing ubuntu.
