Unity Dash Application Icons very inconsistent and too large

The Unity Dash Application Lens displays icons in a very inconsistent way. They're mostly too large, but recently, tiny icons of existing applications are also shown. This started in 12.10 and has carried over into the current iteration of 13.04

See attached screenshot.

I have seen a similar bug that pertained to the "Other Apps" lens, which was fixed, however the Application Lens remains unfixed for now.
