xmms EQ disabled

I like xmms but I miss not having an enabled EQ as with mdk9.1 ?
I've tried making it work with Alsa, OSS and esound. Nothing makes it work.

I just noticed that term says:
"libmikmod.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

** WARNING **: alsa_setup_mixer(): Failed to find mixer element: PCM

** WARNING **: alsa_setup_mixer(): Failed to find mixer element: PCM

** WARNING **: alsa_setup_mixer(): Failed to find mixer element: PCM

So I guess somethings missing, a setting or a component, I'm not sure.
