After logging into KDE I get a message that something crashed. Then I get a message about KDEINIT not working.

I have the same problem. Today the error message appeared the first time, but, indeed, I didn't check whether it appears again after rebooting...
Yesterday I updated from Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft to Kubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04. But the problem appeared first today...
