Bug Description
When you choose a exaggerated font size (say 400 or 500), preview in Font dialogue scales to the size.
At these sizes it's of no use to scale preview, glyphs are so big that you can't see them. Likewise with extremely small font sizes, you can't actually see glyph shape until you accept changes and zoom the text in canvas. I think fonts in preview should not be scaled more than approx 50px (can't see how a font integrates in a text) or less than say 12 or 14px (can't see small differences between fonts).
To reproduce:
- create new file or open existing
- open Text and Font dialogue
- set extreme font size ( let's say 500px or 4px)
Result:
You don't see text in preview.
Expected result:
Would like to see how font looks like in a text.
All best

Confirmed on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk 11915.
When the font size it too big (e.g. DejaVu, 120), you can't even see the text, but only the ellipsis.
