keyboard shortcuts don't work because they are translated

In french the left and right keys are translated to "gauche" and "droite' which disables them. To make the work I went to the preferences and changed them to "Left" and "Right".

The same bug is present in Slovene translation. Left is 'Levo' and Right is 'Desno' (in more than one combination, for example also Shift+Levo). Also Home is translated into Domov and End into Konec. Up and Down, for example, are not translated.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?

Booted from 8.10 RC livecd, audacity installed from repositories:
In Slovene Home is Home now and End is End, but Left is still 'levo' and Right is 'desno'.
So the symptom is still at least partially reproducible.

Why is this bug "incomplete"?

Confirmed on 1.3.5-2 (current Intrepid) and 1.3.7-1 (Jaunty daily-live), with Swedish language. It's only partially wrong, most of the keys are in English (and then they work).

I've tried in Karmic with the Swedish language and it works - all keyboard shortcuts are in English, but at least that's better than non-working shortcuts.
If anyone can reproduce it with audacity 1.3.9-4 or higher, feel free to reopen the bug.
