I have the same problem and have traced the disconnect to my ISP changing my IP address every 24 hours. I thought I could bypass the disconnect by using NoIP service but still get disconnected when the IP address change occurs. As soon as this happens I connect to my machine remotely to reconnect the stream, usually within the minute if I am not busy on something else (or the change occurs in the middle of the night).
Don't know how many people use the NoIP (or similar) approach but in my case it would seem that another possibility could be to delay the disconnect in Mixxx (20-30 seconds? Not sure how fast these services switch IP address to the new one...) and then go into 'attempt reconnect' mode.
