Bug Description

Hi!

This problem occurs in both Precise-e2 and Quantal.

Although the glossary has an entry for Wubi, this entry doesn't show up in the pdf, because no string in the entire template points to it.

To fix this, I added "via \gls{Wubi}" in one of the strings in the French translation.

Here is the glossary entry (Located in ./frontmatter/glossary-entries.tex :170):

English: "\newglossaryentry{Wubi}{name={Wubi}, description={The Windows Ubuntu Installer that allows you to install Ubuntu inside Windows. See page~\pageref{sec:installation:using-wubi} for more information.}}"

And the string I added \gls to (English version located in ./installation/installation.tex :234):

"Vous pouvez installer et lancer Ubuntu en parallèle de votre installation courante de Windows, via \gls{Wubi}~:"

The link to the glossary entry works fine, but the entry reads:
"Wubi L’installateur Wubi vous permet d’installer Ubuntu à l’intérieur de
Windows. Consultez la page ?? pour plus d’informations."

(with ?? instead of page number)

Hope this isn't too confused.

Best regards

Hello!

Problem solved by adding "\label{sec:installation:using-wubi}" at the beginning of the wubi section. The French string now reads:

"\label{sec:installation:using-wubi}Vous pouvez installer et lancer Ubuntu en parallèle de votre installation courante de Windows, via \gls{Wubi}~:"

Best regards

Good job, Sylvie! Thanks. I will make a note of this so we can adjust in
in the Raring version.
Regards,
Hannie

Hannie, I only did what Carsten suggested to me a few days ago while we were chatting in #ubuntu-manual. "Good job" goes to Carsten :-)

Best regards

I have added wubi to the glossary (\gls{Wubi}), but I have removed the pageref from it (in Dutch version precise-e2).
I do not think that IN the glossary we should refer to a chapter/section.
It is the other way around. In the section we refer to the explanation of the term in the glossary.

Raring: added \gls{Wubi} to Wubi section + changed label name in glossaryentry Wubi.
Question: should there be pagerefs in the glossary? Start discussion on this on mailing list?

This may be obsolete, since Wubi is dropped from Raring
