Bug Description

Hi!

It would be nice to create a plugin that traces an asteroïd, planet or comet path between two dates, plot it on the screen and save the path trace for futur use (such as the constellation lines).

The options to implement would be :
- list objects to show
- dates/times from - to
- time step between two labels
- label composition (to choose from object name, date, time, visual magnitude, size)
- color of the path line
- show/hide legend

Then a show/hide window that lists out all the paths saved and shows/hide/delete the selected paths.

Ideally, this plugin should be ready before feb 2013 to follow the Panstarrs comet.

However, how do we access this new functionnality ? I can't see any option that allows such tracing...

Perfect !

Still some progress for the next version :
- allow to plot the date and time on the sky position (every n "yellow circles").
- ability to choose the size and shape of the "yellow circles", such as "+", "x", "o" or "nothing" and allow to connect (or not) the dots with a line.
- show a legend on the screen with the name of the object, the start/end dates, the time step
