Can not change username on login if typed wrong

When logging in, if you type the wrong username, you can not go back and change it. You are only presented with a password prompt. This is with:

greeter-hide-users=true

in

/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

The only way I could find to get around it (and ubuntu-users list) is to

ctrl-alt-f1
login
sudo service lightdm restart

Here is some info:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center

$ apt-cache policy lightdm-gtk-greeter
lightdm-gtk-greeter:
  Installed: 1.1.5-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.1.5-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1.1.5-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe amd64 Packages

3) What you expected to happen

Should get username and password login fields to type in

4) What happened instead

Only get password field to type in
