Huawei E398: 4G state connected, but no Internet

Bug Description

Hi, nmcli-dev says state connected and Network Manager icon says that there is 4G reception, but I cannot get on the Internet. I had to unplug the modem, replug the modem and it connected to the Internet after doing so for 2 times.

Which modem are you using? Could you please run "apport-collect 1079273" in a terminal?

Bug #889878 indicate that this modem works properly in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

I have the exact same issue as in this report. Plugging the modem back in and out a few times sometimes works. Otherwise it's reboot. And I noticed that when it doesn't work, the modem stays on vendor 12d1 prodid 1505 instead of modeswitching over to 1506.
