Bug Description
When all windows on the desktop are closed, most of the time the keybindings (such as locking the screen with Super+L, Slingshot launcher Alt+F2, etc.) don't work. Something on the wingpanel (such as Applications button, date, etc.) has to be clicked in order to activate keybindings. So almost everytime I close the windows on my desktop, I have to use my mouse to roll over to the wingpanel, click on something and then use my keyboard to use Gnome-Do or even Slingshot launcher. I'm using Elementary OS Luna for my daily work with no problems except for this one. It's a real deal breaker for me. I'd be glad if it were fixed.
