Bug Description

Hello,

when I configured my new LaserJet CP1525 nw color though cups/localhost:631, it was much more difficult than expected.

I expected, that I just have to select my printer model, but it was not in the overwhelming list.

After an internet search I found that for some people it worked to use CP1518i instead.

I thought I have nothing to loose and tried it out....and it worked.

I am wondering why there is no entry for the CP1525nw.

I use hplip version 3.12.6 from the upcoming Debian 7.0 / wheezy.

Many thanks for providing the high quality open source drivers.

Rainer

Hi,

Is your device cp1225 or cp1525? In the heading you mentioned cp1225 and description as cp1525.

If it is cp1525 minimum hplip version required is 3.11.3 and if cp1225 is not yet supported by hplip. Please confirm the device name.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

my device name is cp1525nw and I do not see it in the list of devices.

I appologize for the wrong device name in the heading, can that be
changed (for others to have the right reference)?

Thanks,
Rainer
