Icons in Nautilus are transparent to clicks

If I open a folder with Nautilus I cannot click, double-click, or right-click a folder or a file icon, the behavior is as if I click the empty space of the Nautilus window, left click and double click does nothing and right click opens the right click menu for the empty space (no menu entry to open the clicked item). Sometimes I am lucky and the double click works, usually only right after opening a folder.

I use a Bluetooth mouse and therefore I can right-click. On the touch screen I have tested single and double left click and it behaves the same.

Same here, well described. I use also a blootooth mouse.
