Widget rendering broken after quantal upgrade

Bug Description

After upgrading from the LTS release to quantal, something seems to have gone very wrong with evolution. It is extremely slow; opening a new message window takes fifteen to thirty seconds, although there is little or no CPU, memory, network or disk activity.

Also, it seems to draw widgets incorrectly. See attached screenshot.

Evolution package version : 3.6.0-0ubunt amd64
Ubuntu release : 12.10

Hmm. Perhaps this bug is a problem with the Adwaita theme, although Evolution is the only package that seems to be affected.
