It works fine on my laptop, but on my tablet I confirm the behavior. I think the click is not registering as a click. I end up with highlighted text or a cursor on the link.

I was able to reproduce this and also the same behavior occurs with the Software Center -> Help "About Launchpad Software Center"

The warnings that occur in .xsession-errors are not any different than those that appear on other ARM devices.

I did notice different behavior after attaching a usb mouse/keyboard. When the help link is opened via (touch) It appears that the mouse button is being clicked and held down, hence causing the text to highlight. This does not occur when using a mouse/keyboard

. Follow the steps below:

Touch Only
1a.) Remove any usb devices attached to Nexus7
2a.) Launch Nautilus via touch
3a.) Select Help -> About
4a.) Click on any section of the About window simulates mouse click to be held down. All text appears to highlight (as if the mouse button was held down)
5a.) Close About window and logout

Mouse/Keyboard
1b.) Attach USB Mouse/Keyboard (DO NOT TOUCH SCREEN)
2b.) Launch Nautilus via mouse
3b.) Select Help -> About
4b.) Click on Nautilus Link
5b.) Firefox should Open with Help Info
6b.) Close firefox

Repeat steps 4B -> 6B a few times, then stop and perform step 4B with your finger. Notice how all the text highlights and appears to simulate the mouse button being held down.

this is most likely related to webkit and not reproducable on raring (bug #1066046)

(oh, note that the (webkit based) help browser should open, not firefox)

The 2nd half of comment #2 is still an issue for me on Raring, assigning to desktop - team

@Sean: what do you call "The 2nd half of comment #2"? is that " Notice how all the text highlights and appears to simulate the mouse button being held down" ... that sounds like the well known xorg grab issue that is easily triggered with e.g indicators

I don't think this falls under the problems we have been experiencing with the xorg grab issue, Bug# 1068994.

After going through the bug list, it does sort of line up with this issue, Bug# 1075415 : Where dragging the mouse on my x86 Quantal desktop causes the text to highlight.

I was able to confirm this with the latest raring on the tablet, in Ubuntu Software Center, tap on Help->About, and the text is selectable but the link does not respond to clicks. Other buttons remained clickable so this is not related to the general button-stuckness that is going on in bug# 1068994

Although in Rhythmbox, Help->About, I am able to touch on that link to open the rhythmbox website in firefox, so this is not a universal problem. I'd be happy to provide any other information necessary, just let me know what is needed.
