Quassel messaging menu integration broken in Ubuntu 12.10

I have "Show messages in indicator" ticked in "Configure Notifications..." in Quassel in Ubuntu 12.10, but messages are not showing in the messaging menu. Other notification methods are working fine -- in particular, a notification sound plays and notify-osd bubble shows when I receive a message and Quassel is unfocused, but nothing appears in the messaging menu.

What kind of desktop are you using? I don't see this in a KDE session.

Stock Ubuntu desktop (a Unity session). I'm happy to provide extra
debugging information if that's useful?
