two-sided printing not working on my pc, no problem on another one.

I am trying to print a pdf file, 2 pages per sheet (two-sided printing).

After opening the Print dialog, I go in tab "Page Setup", then select "Long Edge (standard)" for option "Two-sided" but I always get 1 page printed per sheet. Same problem with ps and dvi files.

On another pc, I do the same but this time I get 2 pages per sheet (which I want).

Also, my home directory is located on a server and exported to those 2 pcs (nfs mounted). So that printing problem is not related to some config file in my home directory.
And I use only one printer (cups driven).

This two-sided printing problem is not cups related since I have no problem printing 2 pages / sheet on one of my pc.

More info:

I still cannot print 2 pages / sheet with evince so I installed epdfview-0.1.8-3ubuntu1 and 2-sided printing is working with epdfview.

There is definitely a problem with evince, not cups!

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with cups/evince and printing two-sided. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and cups have been updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1076347
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
