Bug Description

emacs can't display cyrillic fonts in feisty, having a system up to date and having installed mule-ucs and emacs-intl-fonts.
It's maybe an unrelated problem, but the file "/usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic" does not exist (needed in the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf).

Section "Files"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/misc"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi/:unscaled"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/75dpi/:unscaled"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi"
 FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/75dpi"
 # path to defoma fonts
 FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType"
EndSection

It has however been created after I have installed the following package:

xfonts-bolkhov-cp1251-75dpi (1.1.20001007-6ubuntu1)

Yes, this symptom is still reproducible on 8.10 beta.
As a workaround, I have the following line in my .emacs file:
(set-frame-font "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--15-140-75-75-c-90-koi8-r")
This font is however not so nice.
