Opening JPEG pictures in konqueror is very slow

Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror

Opening a picture with konqueror in feisty is awfully slow and consumes very high cpu load (compared with the same functionality in depper).
I'm using gwenview as view mode.

This problem includes gif and png images too. and it seems that the antialiasing is terrible slow here.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
