search window detached from synaptic

Using 12.10 The search window of synaptic is not attached as in prior releases. it has it's own window. I repaired the issue by sudo apt-get install python-statgrab python-keyring. This has now been corrected.

The search window or Quick Filter is now working

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue to improve Ubuntu. What do you mean by "not attached" search window? Could you please post a screenshot or explain in further detail what would you like to see and what do you see instead?

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with synaptic search window. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know, and in the current version, run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
